In her personal life Ailan enjoys time with her family and endeavours to pass on a love of caring for the earth. She enjoys tending to her garden, skiing, skating, and practicing her musical talents.
"I strive for architecture that is comfortable, unique, and beneficial for individuals and the community."
Why Ailan Does it
Architecture and the places we compose have an innate potential to affect people and ecosystems. Ailan’s desire to make positive change in the way people recover from illness in hospitals, or the way an environment can regenerate when treated with care, or the ability for a child to engage in the their learning at school or in the community is what drives her in her efforts to create place.
What Ailan Does
Ailan is responsible for managing various teams of varying sizes through complex projects. She has extensive experience managing municipally and provincially funded projects in health, sciences, institutional, community, and care projects. Ailan uses various methods of project and team management to drive these projects to success.
Giving
To fulfill our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, every member of the Unity team has chosen an organization that aligns with their personal values and purpose. Unity has made a donation on behalf of each team member to their chosen organization.
Why Ailan chose: The David Suzuki Foundation
“I support the David Suzuki Foundation's mission to prioritize respect for nature and interdependence with it as our species' top priority. Their engagement in activism, education, and policy work towards positive change on multiple levels, creating a healthier world. As these issues deeply resonate with me, it is important to support not only local, but also national and international change.”
