Who Bill is

With 25 years of experience leading complex projects, Bill Lett is a registered architect in the province of Ontario and in 2018 was convocated into the College of Fellows of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada. Bill carries memberships in multiple organizations - local to national and has sat on numerous boards and committees related to design and construction.

In his personal life, he is a husband, the father of two daughters and enjoys sailing, mountain biking, hiking, motorcycling, and alpine skiing.

"Buildings have become complex. Success in projects can only come from collaborative approaches, leading to enhanced outcomes."

Why Bill Does it

Bill enjoys working with clients through the complexity of a typical project. He has a passion for ultimately seeing buildings lived in and used by their occupants. When a project is finished and occupied, he has enormous pride as it becomes part of the fabric of a community.

Bill also has a strong desire to change how we deliver projects by adopting more collaborative models to deliver buildings through the design and construction process.

What Bill Does

Bill has extensive hands-on experience dealing with diverse stakeholders, administrators, planning processes, municipal/regional councils, and government agencies. He has lead the design of major municipal, cultural, healthcare, and institutional projects across the province of Ontario.

As principal, he is responsible for implementing the vision and direction of Unity Design Studio including overall oversight, growth, business development, client engagement, and strategic partnerships.

Giving

To fulfill our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, every member of the Unity team has chosen an organization that aligns with their personal values and purpose. Bill has made a donation on behalf of each team member to their chosen organization.

Why Bill chose: The New Canadians Centre

“I choose to support the New Canadians Centre (NCC) because they empower immigrants and refugees to become full and equal members of Canadian society and provide community leadership to ensure cultural integration in a welcoming community. Founded in 1979, The NCC is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting immigrants, refugees and other newcomers. Lett is committed to supporting the communities in which we work. The immigrant and refugee population supports and enhances the community and ensures longevity and future growth. Diversity and inclusion are important for a culture and community to thrive.”
