Long-Term Care Facility

Millbrook, Ontario

Located in Millbrook, near Peterborough, Centennial Place is a Long-Term Care facility designed to the Standards of the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. Two storeys in height to respect the neighbouring residential areas, it contains 128 beds in four Resident Home Areas of 32 beds each. Each Resident Home Area (RHA) is self contained with it’s own dining area, lounges, bath & tub rooms and secure adjacent outdoor sitting area. The ground floor RHAs are designed as Special Care Units for residents with dementias and cognitive difficulties and each looks into and has secure access to internal landscaped courtyards. As each RHA surrounds an internal courtyard the internal circulation forms a loop which reduces travel time for staff and allows for indoor tracking by residents.
