What Janet Does

As Senior Project Lead since joining the Studio in 2021, Janet embodies a leadership role that goes beyond traditional oversight. She deftly steers multi-disciplinary teams through every phase of a project, ensuring not only that outcomes resonate with the established goals, but also fostering an environment where each team member feels a deep connection and engagement with the objectives at hand. Janet's holistic approach ensures that projects are executed with precision, passion, and a shared sense of purpose across the board.

Why Janet Does it

Driven by a profound recognition of how environments shape human experiences, Janet practices architecture as a means to bridge our intrinsic connections to spaces with our broader understanding of the world. She is motivated by the belief that architecture, at its best, is a harmonious blend of technology, philosophy, and nature, serving not just as structures but as reflections of our place and purpose within the world.

Giving

To fulfill our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, every member of the Unity team has chosen an organization that aligns with their personal values and purpose. Unity has made a donation on behalf of each team member to their chosen organization.

Why Janet chose: The Narwhal

“I have chosen to support the non-profit independent journalism organization The Narwhal, and its Ontario bureau. Many of my personal convictions align with that of The Narwhal’s mission, and I recognize the need for a strong voice on the frontlines of environmental journalism. There is a great need in balancing the inequalities in Canadian media and in Canadian society, as a whole, and I am proud to support an organization that recognizes both this privilege and responsibility.”
