Who Max is

Max is a passionate communicator and seasoned creative with over 15 years of experience in brand strategy, copywriting, graphic design, and digital marketing. At Unity Design Studio, he brings a thoughtful, people-focused approach to storytelling—blending strategy and creativity to share the studio’s work in compelling, meaningful ways. Inspired by the natural beauty of Southern Ontario, Max spends his free time hiking forest trails or paddling quiet lakes with his wife and young son.

“Thoughtful design shapes communities. I’m proud to contribute to work that creates lasting, meaningful impact.”

What Max Does

Max supports the strategic development and execution of Unity’s marketing and communications initiatives. He writes clear, engaging copy for proposals, publications, and digital platforms—helping to articulate the studio’s vision and values. Collaborating closely with the team, Max shapes messaging that resonates with clients and communities, bringing a creative, considered lens to everything from brand strategy to content development.

Why Max Does It

Max is driven by a love of meaningful storytelling—especially when it supports brands that prioritize community and environmental responsibility. He believes the impact of architecture extends far beyond the buildings themselves, and that sharing the stories behind the work helps deepen that impact. For Max, there’s deep purpose in contributing to projects that create positive, lasting change in communities.

To fulfill our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, every member of the Unity team has chosen an organization that aligns with their personal values and purpose. Unity has made a donation on behalf of each team member to their chosen organization.

Giving

“I chose to support the Kawartha Sexual Assault Centre because they provide essential support to individuals impacted by sexual violence. Their commitment to healing, advocacy, and prevention is both powerful and necessary. By offering counselling, crisis support, and education, KSAC not only helps survivors feel seen and supported—they work to build a future where sexual violence is no longer tolerated. I’m proud to contribute to an organization that leads with empathy, courage, and community care..”
